I chose The Wicker Man because it’s probably my favourite horror film — packed with unforgettable imagery and an atmosphere of pastoral dread. From the opening flight over Skye to the haunting score and unsettling island community, it draws you in completely. Like the best horror, its real terror lies not in the supernatural, but in people themselves.
