By Sadie Evans

Sadie is a Manchester based designer. A jack of many traits, and a lover of simplicity.

I chose the children’s novel Funnybones by Janet and Allan Ahlberg, a nostalgic favourite from my childhood and my first vivid Halloween memory. The line “In the dark dark…” has always stayed with me. I wanted to reflect the book’s playful, innocent tone through simple graphic elements like the skeleton’s hat, triangle nose, and wide smile, capturing its distinctive charm.
