Meet the artist: Tom McInally

In this blog series, we get to know the artists behind the brilliant Little Print Shop of Horrors posters 2024 collection. You'll discover the story behind their poster concept and where you can find more of their awesome work!

We welcome Tom McInally, one of Creative Sparks' talented designers, lucky us!
Tom claims that The Shining is the ultimate horror movie, a popular choice!

Tom, please can you tell us about your poster idea, and why you chose this concept?
"It's an iconic scene that's etched into so many minds. There's a lot of layers and meanings within the scene itself and the entirety of the film, which is what inspired the concept – Patrick's analytical rant layered over the classic song."
Tom, what inspired you to take part in the Little Print Shop initiative?

"Simply put, it's a great project for a great charity. I always want to support local charities where I can as they have such a positive impact in their communities."
We'd love to hear more about your career journey, and biggest achievements so far?
"I studied Graphic Design at UCLan and since graduating in 2015 I've worked for The Chase, EDIT Brand Studio and now Creative Spark. I've worked on clients little and large, but some highlights have been for the National Portrait Gallery, Royal Mail and WaterAid. I've picked up a few awards along the way, including a D&AD nomination, a Creative Review Annual Award, The Drum Awards and Kinsale Shark Awards."
We massively appreciate the kind donation form our artists this year, without them this initiative simply would not have happened. So a huge shout out to Tom for his brilliant work and kindness.
