Meet the artist: Stereoplastika

In this blog series, we get to know the artists behind the brilliant Little Print Shop of Horrors posters 2024 collection. You'll discover the story behind their poster concept and where you can find more of their awesome work!
We welcome Stereoplastika, also known as Alberto!
Alberto, please can you tell us about your poster idea, and why you chose this concept?
"Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I’ve seen that film when I was a child, a part of my life where I like Gore and action films. Contrary about what some people usually think about that films, watching that kind of films doesn’t means that you will be a violent person. In my case the effect was the opposite. I think it happens when there are some artist concept behind that films, so my idea is giving to my poster something artistic and aesthetically nice, but without losing the meaning of the film. I usually focus on the objects that are iconic on a film to do a poster, and I use some vignettes, like a comic, to tell a story."
Alberto, what inspired you to take part in the Little Print Shop initiative?
"I think as humans, we have to help each others. I’ve reading about what Humans MCR is doing, and I think is something which I want to be involved."
We'd love to hear more about your career journey, and biggest achievements so far?
"I’ve started to work on illustration 20 years ago, but as a professional, about 15 years ago. In the beginning I’ve worked for small clients and now I work for big companies and also little clients, and I really like a lot working for both. Some of them, was Adobe, Inc Mag, Edelvives, El Pais, Bioiberica, Acqua San Bernardo, Low, Misterio Brewing, Maracuja tee… In the beginning I was featured on some sites and publications like IDN, Smashing Mag, Neo2… but now it works different, and it’s difficult to be featured in most part of the sites. To be honest, I’m not doing so much for this, and prefer to focus my efforts improving the quality of my works."
And finally, where can we see more of your brilliant work?
"At this moment I’m not very active on social networks, Instagram and twitter are the only ones that I occasionally update. But you could see my work on https://stereoplastika.com and  https://behance.net/stereoplastika   My nickname in most part of my networks is @stereoplastika"
We massively appreciate the kind donation form our artists this year, without them this initiative simply would not have happened. So go on folks, give Alberto a little follow and show him some support for his awesome work and kindness.
