In this blog series, we get to know the artists behind the brilliant Little Print Shop of Horrors posters 2024 collection. You'll discover the story behind their poster concept and where you can find more of their awesome work!
We welcome Carl Regan, who is a Little Print Shop of Horrors alumi now, supporting us over the 13 years that we've been running the initiative. Carl is based in rainy Manchester, and specialises in design and motion graphics. Carl claims that Twin Peaks is the ultimate horror series!
Let us also introduce you to Carl's masterpiece for the 2024 Little Print Shop of Horrors 'If words could kill' poster collection.
Carl, please can you tell us about your poster idea, and why you chose this concept?
"I’ve been a bit obsessed with Twin Peaks since watching The Return a few years ago. The black lodge scenes are full of surreal symbolism, so it seemed perfect for the brief."
Carl, what inspired you to take part in the Little Print Shop initiative?
"I’ve contributed to LPSOH for the last couple of years. Humans MCR are an amazing charity, so it’s great to help out a little where I can."
We'd love to hear more about your career journey, and biggest achievements so far?
"I studied Design & Art Direction at MMU. Since graduating, I have worked freelance specialising in design and motion graphics mainly in the music industry. Some highlights have included creating work for Ministry of Sound, The Chemical Brothers and Chase and Status."
And finally, where can we see more of your brilliant work?
"I don’t keep it up to date but you can see some of my very old work on Instagram - @carlregan_design"
We massively appreciate the kind donation form our artists this year, without them this simply would not have happened, thank you for your brilliant work and kindness Carl!
