Meet the artist: Alexander Wells

In this blog series, we get to know the artists behind the brilliant Little Print Shop of Horrors posters 2024 collection. You'll discover the story behind their poster concept and where you can find more of their awesome work!

We welcome Alexander Wells, represented by the wonderful team over at Folio (check them out!). Alexander is based in Brighton, and specialises in Illustration.
Alexander claims that The Thing is the ultimate horror movie of all time!

Alexander, please can you tell us about your poster idea, and why you chose this concept?
" This movie has a strong found footage retro feel to the aesthetic and I loved the idea of creating a bootlegged VHS tape style poster to encapsulate that."
Alexander, what inspired you to take part in the Little Print Shop initiative?
"It's always a great feeling to be able to put your niche skills towards a greater good and if I'm able to help out people less fortunate than myself by creating some fun artwork then it's a win-win in my books."
We'd love to hear more about your career journey, and biggest achievements so far?
" I've been lucky enough to be a full time illustrator since graduating university back in 2010. Since then I've had the opportunity to work with such clients as Apple, Sony, Ubisoft, ESPN, Rolling Stone, The Folio Society, Pepsi and The New York Times."
And finally, where can we see more of your brilliant work?
We massively appreciate the kind donation form our artists this year, without them this initiative simply would not have happened. So go on folks, give Alexander a little follow and show him some support for his brilliant work and kindness.
